Haus Stover

Located on a unique plot of land in mission hills, the site has a steep running hill but has 180° views capturing everything from Hillcrest to downtown and a large portion of the bay. The contemporary design follows suit from our previous projects and learning from what worked and what did not work to optimize the arrangement of spaces and achieve the aesthetic style which has become a prominent factor in making our structures one of a kind. The design of the building comes from a rigorous process and working around a lot of site constraints as well as conceding with the steep slope of the land. The main living area is elevated from the ground floor and has 3 sides that are clad in glazing to show off the stunning views of the downtown and the bay. Each level has its own outdoor patio space that is partially covered to take advantage of the beautiful weather here in San Diego. The ground level is designed to be open so you can see mission hills in the backdrop as well as giving the appearance that the level above is floating above the garage. On the basement level, a beautiful secluded outdoor space is accompanied by a small private studio. This building is above standards of everything wanted in a custom home, as well as achieving the architectural style we strive for.
